We’ve been video-taping the services since early 2006, so it’s about time we got them up on the website! As a little insider tip: there’s a big redesign for the whole site planned for the first half of 2007, so the current video links aren’t necessarily as “pretty” as can be. But as long as you have macromedia flash player, you should be able to view the videos on the Message Library page! Also, if you want to download the videos, you may, but you’ll need a free flv player to see them. For some more grueling, technical details, click the “more” link…
Technical specs: We’ve made the videos available to stream at a 256k internet connection. We’ve tried to make them a bit sharper by running them at 15fps instead of the usual 30. It does make the motion a little less smooth, but for the filesize, we thought it was the best way to get the best picture. Maximize video: You can maximize the video, but it takes a little bit of work. You’ll have to resize the window that pops up to play the video to the size you want to view the video. Then click the little button on the right of the slider (to the left of the volume control) on the player. This will restart the video and play it in the full window. I know, this is a little klunky, and we’re definitely looking for a better solution. But this gets video available quickly and cheaply (read:free!). Hopefully things look a little better on the new site.
