Cassie's Transitional House
In 2011 Cassie, Bo and their two children began attending HVCC, they were homeless and in need of support and encouragement. For the next several years we walked with Cassie and Bo and were able to see them transition from being homeless to being financially stable and living in a home of their own. They showed us that there was a real need in our community for a house that could be used to help other families who were experiencing similar hardships. You can hear Cassie tell her story in the video below.
Cassie's House is a transitional home owned by Hidden Valley and designed to provide temporary residence for people experiencing homelessness or are at great risk of becoming homeless. Housing is combined with faith-based mentoring services that will assist families with developing stability in their lives. We were able to welcome our first family on August 15, 2015. The family graciously allowed us to video their reactions on move in day.
We realize that you may have questions about how this program works, and so have put together an FAQ sheet which we hope will answer most of your questions. If you would like more information on how you can get involved, or have further questions, please contact Lara Pawelski.
