September Monthly Serving Focus

Our September Monthly Serving Focus is called Wherever You May Romy. Did you know that each of our rural hospitals transfer an average of 10 - 15 newborns to NICUs (neonatal intensive care unit) each year? The mission of this non-profit organization is to provide comfort, support, and meaningful resources to families navigating an unexpected NICU journey, especially those who deliver at rural hospitals and must be transferred to a larger NICU. They strive to uplift families and let them know they are not alone throughout that stressful journey. Kayla Sazama will be with us on September 13 to tell her story that turned heartbreak and worry into a purpose. She will share how they have built a cause all about caring, connecting, and showing up for others when it matters most. 

Their Care Totes Program provides a Lands' End tote and soft blanket, a NICU journal, thoughtful essentials, and bonding hearts within, each item is chosen to support families through some of their most challenging days. 

To participate, you can:

• Drop cash or coin donations in the collection jar at the Information Center on Sunday mornings.

• Put a check or cash in your offering envelope and mark “MSF” in the memo line of the check or mark it on the envelope and place it in the offering box.

• Give online and select DV Monthly Serving Focus as your donation category.
